Gan Siow Huang

Ms Gan Siow Huang
Minister of State for Education and Minister of State for Manpower

Prior to joining politics, she worked in the Republic of Singapore Air Force and was the first female Brigadier General in the Singapore Armed Forces. She was also Deputy CEO of NTUC’s Employment and Employability Institute. She graduated from London School of Economics and Political Science with a Bachelor of Science (Economics) degree in 1996. She attained Master in Business Administration from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2010.

Professor Timothy Clark

Professor Timothy Clark
Provost Of SMU

Professor Clark is a past Chair (2009) and President (2011) of the British Academy of Management and a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and the British Academy of Management. He was made an inaugural Academic Fellow of the International Council of Management Consultancy Institutes in 2013, and Principal Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy in 2015. He was appointed to the Register of Auditors of the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Council as an International Reviewer in 2014, and reappointed in 2016, and has been Vice-Chair of the Economic and Social Research Council’s Training and Skills Committee. Professor Clark was an Editor/General Editor of Journal of Management Studies (2000-2010).

A distinguished Singapore Public Service Commission scholar, Michael has held various roles at the Ministry of Education, the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR), and the State Courts of Singapore before joining SMU. With over 18 years of comprehensive experience, Michael offers a valuable combination of skills, knowledge, and an extensive network to the organisations he collaborates with. In his role at the Academy, Michael is responsible for overseeing all continuing education programmes under the Finance & Technology pillar. His collaborative efforts with academics, industry partners, and experienced practitioners contribute significantly to the creation of curriculum and content that addresses the dynamic learning needs of businesses and organisations across various industries, with a specific focus on finance, innovation and technology-related areas.

Ms Chelvin Loh is currently the Director of Skills Intelligence and Planning Division in SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG), a statutory board under the Ministry of Education. She leads a team of skills policy officers, data analysts and data scientists to chart policies that can support and lead SSG’s skills innovation efforts, including the transformation of our national skills framework, skills-based credentialing, and leveraging machine learning and AI to power our national jobs-skills intelligence engine. Prior to SSG, Chelvin was part of the management team driving SME development, human capital development, and internationalisation in Enterprise Singapore / SPRING Singapore and IE Singapore.

Dr. Fermin, PhD, SPHR, GRP, IHRP-MP, FSID, is an Adjunct Faculty at SMU and a Board Director, Author, and Speaker in HR. He is also an adjunct Professor at NUS, NTU, and SMU Business Schools. With expertise in Strategic HR, Remuneration, and HR Analytics, Dr. Diez holds certifications as an IHRP Master Professional, Global Remuneration Professional, Senior HR Professional, and Fellow of SID. His extensive experience spans consulting, corporate, and academic roles globally. He serves on the board of the Singapore HR Institute and is the Dean for Human Resource Studies at IHRP.

She holds an MBA in Global Business with Distinction from Coventry University (UK) and an Advanced Certificate in Learning & Performance (ACLP) from the Institute of Adult Learning. Linda boasts over two decades of international experience in Global Branding, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship. In 2011, Linda founded her own agency specialising in Digital Marketing Consultancy & Services. She has provided consultation and training to thousands of small business owners, and professional leaders from organisations such as AIA, ErA, BreadTalk, in the areas of Inbound Marketing, Tiktok Ads for Business, Facebook Marketing, Google PPC, and SEO.

Dr. Sungjong Roh

Dr Sungjong Roh
Assistant Professor of Communication Management, Singapore Management University, Lee Kong Chian School of Business

Dr Roh received his Ph.D. at Cornell University and is currently an Assistant Professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business at Singapore Management University. Dr Roh has two closely related areas of research and teaching expertise: (a) behavioral decision-making—underlying mechanisms whereby consumers, managers, and investors make judgments and choices, and (b) computational data science (using Python and R) for business problem-solving. Dr Roh has taught a wide range of courses across multiple disciplines, and workshops on computational data science, data-informed, evidence-based management practices to undergraduate and postgraduate business students, working professionals, and executives. A recipient of multiple teaching awards, including the university wide "Most Promising Teacher Award" and Specialist Adult Educator (for Curriculum Development) by the SkillsFuture Singapore/ Institute for Adult Learning.

Vincent is the current founder of TalentGeist, a Career Development platform landing students & professionals a career in elite Tech companies. Previously, he co-founded deep-tech startup AetherIoT, taking the company from 0 to US$100K+ in revenue in under-2 years and winning mega-clients such as L'Oreal, Petrobras, Singapore PUB, and more. Before his startup life, Vincent worked at Google, where he led the Android business and scaled initiatives such as the iconic Android One Program from 0 to 30M+ users.

Vincent is a Forbes 30-under-30 alumni and graduated with honors from Columbia University in New York City.
